Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy” spends its seventh straight week at Number One on the BDS/Nielsen’s Audience-Based Country Airplay Chart (CAC). Luke loses 1.468 million in impressions to finish the week with an audience of 38.601 million from the tracking period running 01-07 April.
What Lies Ahead in the Coming Weeks on the CAC
In terms of detections, Combs actually falls to #3 after six weeks at #1 on there. Michael Ray’s “One That Got Away,” which ranks third in audience, wins this week’s spin war. But Ryan’s song peaked at the beginning of this chart week, and has already fallen below Combs, as well as Riley Green’s “There Was this Girl” (11 April pm, MB CAC).
This likely leads to Brett Young’s “Here Tonight” earning the next Number One CAC song, on both Mediabase and BDS/Nielsen charts. Young is only behind Combs by under 700,000 impressions on Mediabase (11 April pm, MB CAC), meaning that his song will be the first overall new Number One at Country Radio in close to two months.
